Vic Dohar was pleased to have been selected by the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society, Ottawa Valley chapter as a participating artist in their first annual Dumoine River Art Camp held in August 2017. The Art Camp brought together artists working in different mediums, exploring the Dumoine River, creating works of art, and becoming inspired by the magnificent wilderness landscape . The camp was followed by an exhibition of artwork at Art Brûlant and Impressions Gallery in the Pontiac region, and a CPAWS Fundraising Soirée that provided the opportunity to purchase artwork in an auction format. The Soirée was hi-lighted by a keynote speech by Robert Bateman along with entertainment from musician Ian Tamblyn.
This is the watercolour painting created from the this event, capturing the power of the Dumoine River, and donated to the CPAWS-Ottawa Valley Chapter.
