About Vic Dohar
As a self-taught watercolour artist, Vic Dohar is continuously studying and learning about the expressive nature of this creative medium. He has participated in several workshops taught by professionals such as Frank Webb and Linda Kemp, incorporating techniques acquired from these masters, while at the same time developing his own approach and style. In 2009, he achieved Fellowship status with the Ottawa Watercolour Society and continues to participate and be accepted in juried shows. More recently he has begun to teach watercolour, sharing his knowledge and techniques to enthusiastic artists alike.
Growing up as a child, he was also influenced by his late father Joseph Dohar, who himself was a landscape artist.
He is an active member with several regional art organizations, Manotick Art Association, Nepean Fine Arts League, Artists of Stonebridge, and currently holds the executive position as Treasurer with the Ottawa Watercolour Society.
