As a self-taught watercolour artist, Vic Dohar is continuously studying and learning about the expressive nature of this creative medium. He has taught watercolour workshops and given lectures, sharing his knowledge and techniques with other artists. He has also participated in several workshops taught by various professionals, incorporating new techniques while at the same time developing his own approach and style.

Growing up as a child, he was also influenced by his late father Joseph Dohar, who himself was a landscape artist.

Vic Dohar’s late father, Joseph Dohar, poses beside one of his paintings of the Dakota Mill, north of Burlington, Ontario sometime during the 1970’s.

Vic has over 20 years experience, and is a Fellowship member with the Ottawa Watercolour Society. He remains an active member of the Ottawa artists community and continues to participate in juried shows.
